New!

Hey Everyone!
This is a new invitation that was just finished today for a bride! The total size is 17 1/2 x 5 and it folds into a 5 x 7 invitation. There is an RSVP which is a postcard and it is perforated so the guests can tear it from the invitation itself and mail it back!

Something else that is new that blush INVITATIONS has started is:
E-VITES!
E-Vites are a casual way to invite family, friends and loved ones to a wedding, birthday or other special event. They can even be used as announcements. How this works is, once an order is placed, the designing of the invitation will start. Once the design has been finished, a proof will be mailed to the customer for approval and if it is approved, I will then e-mail the invitations/announcements to all of your guests! It's basically a simple, fun, and more affordable way to do your invitations/announcements!

Bride on a Budget?

Ever since women were little girls, they have been dreaming of the most important day of their lives; their wedding day. They have been dreaming about the right man, the exciting proposal, the beautiful ring, the astonishing white (or different colored) dress, and the venue that is along the beach, in a beautiful mansion, a huge gorgeous park, or wherever else her heart desires! One thing that wasn't thought of was, how am I going to pay for it all?

Figuring out your budget for your wedding is a very important thing, especially now-a-days with the economy the way that it is. The question is though, how are you suppose to get everything you want for the budget you have set? Well, the answer is, you can't get it all. Unfortunately, not everything is going to be at the price that you wish it was, therefore, you either have to find something similar that you like as well or you will have to raise the budget you have already set for yourself. Weddings, in this day and age, are something that's not cheap unless you do the quick drive-thru wedding in Las Vegas! Which, those can be fun, don't get me wrong! However, not everyone out there wants a wedding like that.

I am not a professional in all areas of weddings, but I can definitely give you insight and advice when it comes down to your invitations! One thing I will say is, majority of the invitations are not cheap (or not as cheap as you wish they were). If you are going through a professional to have your engagement announcements, save the dates, invitations, bridal shower invitations, thank you cards, and etc. done, you will have to make sure you do set a realistic goal for yourself, and your stationer, so when you do find out the pricing, you are not shocked. Typically, you wont be able to find invitations for under $200, unless your guest amount is between 20-50 (and if you are wanting more than just invitations, the pricing goes up). There may be some businesses who will be able to do that for you, however, you need to make sure their quality and professionalism is good as well. Now, why would you want to use someone to have your invitations custom made? Well, first of all, they are custom made! (LOL). Secondly, they are able to be designed exactly to your liking and it gives a more personable feel to your invitations.

Your wedding invitations are a very important piece of your wedding. They are the very first item your guests are going to see for your wedding, so it is their "first impression" of your big day. Your invitations should be creative, suit your style, match the overall theme/colors of your wedding, and they should definitely include yours and your fiance's personality!
Invitations can come in so many different designs and styles! Your options really are limitless with the creativity, it's just your budget that usually holds you back. So first things first, take a look around and get different ideas of the type of invitation it is you are looking for. Do you want a pocketfold invitation? Would you prefer your invitation be placed in a silk box or silk pocketfold? Do you want to have your invitation placed in a glass bottle to give it that "message in a bottle" type look for your beach wedding? What about a passport invitation? Or, do you want an invitation that is very simple without all of the fancy upgrades? As I said, your options really are limitless when it comes down to your invitations. While you are researching the different designs, look at the different pricings that are listed, if any, so you are better able to decide on a budget. If you are looking at an invitation that is already made, it is going to be cheaper than if you are going to someone who is going to custom make your invitation, so you may want to make your budget a little higher than the price that you have already seen. When also deciding on the type of invitation, it is also good to decide if you want calligraphy, thermography, embossing, or any other type of special service done as well. These are all things that will add on to the pricing of your invitation.
After you have figured out the type of style/design you like, research different professionals and get some price quotes. Of course, each person you have a consultation with is going to hope you choose them, but make sure you are able to talk with a few different companies! You may also really like the first person that you speak with, but still, it is always good to get insight from other professionals as well before you make your final decision.

When you are getting all of the different pricing for your invitations, you may wonder to yourself, "Why does this cost so much?" so I will give you some insight for putting yourself in the shoes of your stationer that is doing your invitations. We are putting A LOT of time into your invitation to make sure the design, fonts, coloring, size, printing, paper, and everything else is perfect to your liking. We know how important this day is for you and how you want everything a part of it to be perfect as well, so we want to make sure you are completely satisfied, therefore, a lot of time is placed into it.
Product for your invitation can be inexpensive, or it can be expensive depending on what type of invitation it is your going with. The product includes the cardstock used to print your invitation on, whether you are placing your invitation in a pocketfold, silk box, or having any other type of fancy item added. Also, if you are having ribbon on your invitation that is tied in a bow. It takes a lot of time to tie those bows by hand, especially when there are 200 invitations to be done. :)
Next, you need to consider the labor that is put into your invitation. As I said above, when having to tie bows, that goes into labor. The ribbon is what is part of the product. Other things needed to be taken into consideration is having to figure out a good design and then putting in all the time to put the design together. Of course, normally the first design isn't the only design that is done. Normally, more designs are asked to be done as well, so this puts out more time. Also along with labor, is whether the invitation design you have chosen has certain things that need to be outsources if your stationer does not do them. Some of these outsourcing items I listed above such as, calligraphy, thermography, embossing and etc. Other things this might include is if your stationer does not do their own printing, they will have to use another company to outsource that. Also, your stationer may do their own printing, however, the invitation you are having designed is larger than standard, so they may have to outsource the printing for that due to the size. If any perforations are wanting to be done, for example your RSVP. If you want an RSVP that is perforated so it can be ripped off, your stationer may have to outsource for that to be done.
These are all just a few things to keep in mind when you are thinking about the pricing on your invitations. :)

When I am making invitations, I absolutely love it! I love meeting new people and combining our ideas to come up with something that is perfect to your liking! I work very hard at what I do and I constantly strive to make sure I am satisfying your every need! My pricing does vary depending on what it is you are looking for and I do try my best to keep your budget in mind when I am coming up with a quote for you. However, there are times when what it is you are looking for, just cannot be achieved within your budget. If that is the case, we can always come up with some different ideas and designs that will be closer to what your budget is!

Non-Profit Organizations

Hey Everyone!

I would love to have your feedback and opinions. I am starting something where for each person that places an order, 5% of the total amount will be donated to a legitimate non-profit organization. So far, I am using the following organizations:

1. Humane Society of the United States

2. Susan G. Komen for the Cure
3. American Cancer Society
4. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
5. Boys and Girls Club of America
6. Big Brother's and Big Sister's of America
7. March of Dimes

How this works is on each order that someone places, they will choose the organization they wish to have the 5% be donated to whether it is one that I have already suggested, or a new one (that is legitamate). Once an organization is chosen, I will keep track of how much is to be donated to the different organizations and at the end of each month, I will donate the amount that has been raised. I will post on Facebook, Twitter, my website and this Blog advising how much was raised for the month for each of the different organizations!

I would love to add any more non-profit organizations to this list. Any input or suggestions that you may have would be greatly appreciated! These organizations can be for anything whether it is cancer research, donations for different animals, mental disabilities, and anything else you can think of!
This is something that I am very passionate about and I love donating any chance that I get to help any type of cause!

Thank you in advance for all your help and support!

"Combined" Wedding Invitation Set

"Jordan & Kenna" Wedding Invitation Set

"Zebra" Wedding Invitation Set

"Pink" Baby Shower Invitation

Hello Everyone!

My name is Kenna Scherado and I am the owner of blush INVITATIONS. I would like to tell you a little bit about the company and myself!

blush INVITATIONS is a company based out of Las Vegas, NV that specializes in custom made invitations. The invitations can be for any type of special event such as weddings, engagement parties, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, graduations, or any other type of event you want to invite friends and loved ones too! The invitations are made to match with your overall color/theme of your special event.

As for the me, I am a Las Vegas native. I came up with the idea of having my own invitation business while I was searching for my own wedding invitations. I searched everywhere and there were either no invitations that I liked, or the ones I did like were so expensive! Therefore, I decided I would make my own. While I was doing that, I realized how much fun I was having and how much I enjoyed it so I decided to start my own business where I could help brides and everyone else have their own custom invitations designed perfectly to there liking and they can be affordable at the same time!
Come check out my website and if you or anyone you know needs invitations created for their special event, come my way!
